Jamie and I camped before having kiddos and had no plan of stopping when our daughter came along. Fast forward a year or so and we now camp with 3 tots and wouldn’t change a thing! Here are our must haves for camping with tots.

–bed rails: with a bunk house we knew that we needed something to keep the kids in their beds and not falling out. After searching Pinterest we found this idea and are pretty happy with how they turned out.
–camp lanterns: these Coleman Kids Camp lamps are super durable and the kids love carrying them around. I added their names to make them a little more personal.
–toys: most campgrounds have lots of activities for older kids but not so many for the tots so we make sure to take lots of toys. Here are a few of our favorites.
–easy snacks: POUCHES!!! Will be your best friend camping. They come in a variety of flavors and are very easy to throw in a bag to take hiking or to the pool.
–high chairs: when picking out hair chairs we had camping in mind. We needed something that wasn’t too big to take camping and would be easy to store. In our travel trailer we can fit 3 of these around the U shaped dinette and can also take them outside to eat. We highly recommend the Fisher Price Space Saving Highchair.
Before the boys came Henleigh used a Summer Infant Pop and Sit Portable Highchair which was very compact. The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that holes for her legs were a little small so we cut them out.
–folding wagon: campground are not small and tots don’t have the longest or the strongest of legs so we always take a wagon with us. This is our current favorite; Mac Sports Heavy Duty Collapsible Folding All Terrain Utility Wagon Beach Cart.
