Riverside Campground, PA ~Campground Review~

Most will call us crazy but our latest camping trip was over Labor Day weekend to Riverside Campground in Montgomery Pennsylvania. Where this campground isn’t very big it is right on the river and for the most part pretty quiet. We have never been to this campground before so we choose our sites by looking at the map online. I do have to say that we were a little disappointed in the size of the sites. We were able to put our awning all the way out but we did not have much room beyond the awning. It was a good thing mom and dad were in the site next to us so we didn’t feel like we were staring into someone else’s camper. Not only is this campground right next to the river but it is also right next to the city park which had awesome deals for the kids to run around in.

Like normal we had to make a trip to the closest Walmart we really didn’t need anything but mom was looking for a light sweater to wear to Steve-Bo and Maxine‘s wedding. It was a good Walmart it had everything we needed and a fairly decent size grocery section if we did need something. Jamie went back out during naptime to the Surplus store we saw on the way to Walmart because he was curious as to what it was.

On this trip we also decided that we needed a warm weather camping at sweet treat so we brought the ice cream makers. Not sure if we will come back to this campground since we are only here for a wedding but if you are looking for camping on the Susquehanna River I would check it out.

I would recommend these sites: 18-22. They are full hook up and very large.
